Meet Dr. Jerry Doberstein

Jerry Doberstein, B.Sc., D.D.S.

Dr. Doberstein graduated from the University of Alberta in 1987 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. As a student, he spent his summers doing research on the topic of TMJ imaging and notably was the U of A's representative for the CDA student clinician awards competition.

Upon graduation, Dr Doberstein has worked in general practice dentistry, here at the Sherwood Park clinic since 1990. As well, he has spent 7 years teaching at the U of A Faculty of Dentistry as an assistant clinical professor. He has completed numerous continuing education courses including a comprehensive orthodontic training course.

Dr Doberstein loves to travel and experience other cultures. This meshes well with a keen interest in aid and development work internationally. He has had opportunities to travel to South and Central America and most recently Africa to work in a dental capacity with an eye to continue this in the future.

Dr Doberstein is married to wife Sharon and has 3 children. His hobbies include running, coin collecting, photography and fishing.
